--json Output Shape
The add command emits a single JSON line on --json:
{
"ok": true,
"slug": "strata",
"stack": "react",
"version": "1.0.0",
"installed": ["app/strata/Strata.tsx"],
"skipped": [],
"conflicts": [],
"deps_added": { "@kintura/engine-react": "^1.0.0" },
"next_steps": ["npm install # install deps"]
}
On error:
{ "ok": false, "error": "Not entitled to template 'strata'", "exit": 2 }
Token Storage
The CLI stores your auth token in the OS keychain via keytar. If keytar is unavailable (native addon build failure), it falls back to a file at ~/.config/kintura/token with 0600 permissions. A warning is printed to stderr when the fallback is used.
Manifest Validation
import { validateManifest } from "kintura/manifest";
const result = validateManifest(data);
if (result.valid) {
console.log(result.manifest.slug); // "strata"
} else {
console.error(result.errors);
}
