nuxt-starter

CLI for quickly scaffolding a Nuxt 3 or Nuxt 4 project with ESLint support out of the box 🚀

All templates live in the nuxt-templates repository, split by branch.

Usage

npx @brokuka/nuxt-starter

The CLI walks you through a few prompts and scaffolds the project for you:

• Package manager — npm, yarn, pnpm or bun, preselected from the one you launched the CLI with
• Folder name — where to create the project (press ENTER to use the current folder)
• Nuxt version — v4 (default) or v3
• CSS style — Vanilla (default), UnoCSS or Tailwind CSS
• Template — pick a base template, including shadcn/ui variants where available
• TypeScript — add TypeScript support
• Git — initialize a git repository

Prompts with a single answer are skipped, so you are only asked about styles and templates that exist for the Nuxt version you picked.

Dependencies are written to package.json with resolved versions and installed in one pass. On pnpm, the scaffold also gets a pnpm-workspace.yaml that hoists dependencies and approves the native builds Nuxt needs, and nuxt.config.ts gets a compatibilityDate plus pre-bundled devtools deps.

[!NOTE] The folder prompt supports the system ~/ home-directory alias.

Templates

Every template ships with a preconfigured @antfu/eslint-config + @nuxt/eslint setup.
